Volunteer group Skhidniaky ('Easterners') history starts from Maidan in 2013-2014.
Kharkiv Automaidan became a base for couple of volunteer groups establishment. They are still cooperating and supporting each other.
On 1 March 2014 ‘russian spring’ happened. From that moment on every next day was considered as potential start of russian invasion.
Together with Roman Donik we’ve started to study military problems and were shocked by the neglect level of our armed forces.
One of our first assignments was to supply border guards squad in Kozacha Lopan with bulletproof vests (any of the kind, since they had no bulletproof vest at all), cause they would be the first who take the hit in case of invasion in Kharkiv region.
Gladly, russian invasion was postponed on 8 years, during this time our country was able to get more or less ready.
The most painful place became Donbas. Slovijansk, Schastia and other eastern cities became regular visit places for our volunteer group, places where help was constantly needed.
Second war (full-scale invasion 2022) mobilized us to more decisive actions. All secondary things were thrown away and we’ve started only to work and help the front.
Quite a lot of different people in everyday life were joined by one goal - full capitulation of moskow empire. We work for this daily, improve ourselves by expanding our help.
We are set to continue what we are doing, if needed - for next years, till Ukrainian victory. Our volunteer group cooperates with other volunteers and funds, by constant expanding connections.
We are always happy to work with people who share our views.
